Player count by platform
Section titled “Player count by platform”| Platform | Official player-count wording |
|---|---|
| Steam / PC | Intense 8-player co-op |
| Xbox Series X|S | Online co-op and online multiplayer for 2–8 players |
| PlayStation 5 | Supports up to 8 online players with PS Plus |
Console subscription requirements
Section titled “Console subscription requirements”Xbox requires Game Pass Core or Ultimate for console online multiplayer. PlayStation requires PS Plus for online play. These are network-service requirements and do not establish that the game is included in either subscription catalog.
Can you play alone?
Section titled “Can you play alone?”The game also has a documented Solo mode for private practice. Its progression and Responder-permadeath rules differ from the normal cooperative experience, so use the Solo Mode guide before treating it as an equivalent one-player campaign.
Looking for the live player count?
Section titled “Looking for the live player count?”The eight-player limit is session capacity, not the number of people currently online. Use the separate player count and Steam charts page for a timestamped Steam concurrency snapshot and its cross-platform limits.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”Official store capacity does not guarantee that matchmaking will find eight players, document a private-party minimum for every mode, or provide one stable invite sequence across platforms. Those claims are not added here.
