FIELD NOTE 17 / EXTRACTION
How to
extract.
Choose the exit that matches the risk you can carry: leave early to preserve a Responder, or finish the mission for full progression.
Quick answer
Section titled “Quick answer”Follow the active extraction objective shown by the current mission. No More Room in Hell 2 has two exits: Early Extraction becomes available after a short time and protects your Responder at the cost of character progression and most Credits; Final Extraction appears at the end of the mission and awards character XP plus Credits based on the whole team’s collected Supplies.
Verification scope: Reviewed September 7, 2026 against the official 1.0 overview and Armageddon notes. Extraction locations and interaction prompts vary by mission, so this page does not invent one map route or universal keybind.
Early extraction versus final extraction
Section titled “Early extraction versus final extraction”| Exit | When it is available | What the official record says you receive |
|---|---|---|
| Early Extraction | After a short period during a run | No character progression and only a small portion of Credits |
| Final Extraction | At the end of the mission | Character experience and Credits equal to the team’s collected Supplies |
Early Extraction is the retreat option when the mission feels insurmountable. It exists to preserve the Responder rather than maximize the run’s rewards. Final Extraction is the progression-bearing exit and therefore carries the larger risk-reward decision.
How to reach the correct exit
Section titled “How to reach the correct exit”- Check whether the mission is still offering only its normal objectives or has made an extraction option active.
- Follow the current objective and HUD markers for that mission; do not use a route copied from another map.
- Decide whether preserving the Responder is worth the Early Extraction reward penalty.
- If you continue, complete the remaining mission objectives and use the Final Extraction when it becomes active.
- Recheck the end-of-match result before assuming character XP or Credits were awarded.
The official overview defines the two extraction types but does not publish one permanent route across all nine maps. Objective scenarios end in a high-stakes extraction window, while Survival has its own three-wave defense structure before extraction.
What happens to Supplies
Section titled “What happens to Supplies”Supplies are collected as a team and converted into Credits at final exfil. Rarer Supplies can provide larger payouts but occupy inventory space, so carrying value to the end is part of the risk. The official 1.0 overview ties the full team Supply value to Final Extraction; it does not promise that an early exit pays the same amount.
This is separate from character experience. An Early Extraction keeps the Responder alive but gives no character progression, while a Final Extraction provides character XP as well as the full team-linked Credit result described above.
Permadeath at extraction
Section titled “Permadeath at extraction”Extraction is still a danger point on every difficulty. Beginner and Normal can allow respawns earlier in a mission, but the official permadeath explanation says a death after extraction has been called can still cost the Responder. Hard and Nightmare expose the Responder to permadeath from the beginning of the run.
If you are carrying a developed Responder, compare the current difficulty rule with the value of the run before ignoring an Early Extraction. A Rescue Beacon can prevent the next instance of Responder loss when permadeath applies, but it occupies a loadout slot and is consumed when it protects you.
Common extraction mistakes
Section titled “Common extraction mistakes”- Treating Early Extraction as a full-reward shortcut.
- Following a video from a different map or an older Early Access objective flow.
- Assuming Beginner or Normal removes all extraction-time permadeath.
- Confusing the availability announcement with a guarantee that the whole squad is already at the exit.
- Waiting for an undocumented universal button instead of reading the current mission prompt.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”Official sources establish the two extraction types, reward boundary, Supply conversion, and permadeath risk. They do not provide a current step-by-step route for every map, exact extraction timer, or one control input shared by PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. Those details remain tied to the live mission UI.
