UPDATE RECORD 01 / RELEASED AUGUST 17

Hotfix
1.0.3.1.

A compact record of released crash, controller, customization, and server-stability changes.

NMRiH2 hotfix 1.0.3.1 fixed two customization-related crash paths, corrected hidden Early Access data that could produce the wrong controller scheme, fixed incorrect customization patterns, and improved server stability. Correcting the controller data caused a keybind reset.

Release boundary: The official hotfix was published August 17, 2026. This page does not fold planned Hotfix #2 work into 1.0.3.1.

What changed

Section titled “What changed”
AreaReleased change
Responder customizationFixed memory-related crashes seen most often with heavy customization, squads, DLC outfits, and patterns.
Menu handlingFixed a crash that could occur when leaving customization too quickly.
Controller schemeFixed hidden Early Access data that could produce an incorrect scheme.
KeybindsBindings reset as a consequence of the controller-scheme fix.
Cosmetic patternsFixed some items displaying the wrong patterns.
ServersAdded server-stability improvements.
  • Returning Early Access players whose controller scheme or bindings behaved unexpectedly.
  • Squads using heavily customized Responders or DLC outfits.
  • Players who saw incorrect patterns on customization items.
  • Players affected by some launch-window crashes or instability covered by these fixes.

The notes do not say that every crash or every server problem was fixed.

The launch-week post temporarily advised avoiding clothing with logos and patterns while the customization crash was pending. The released 1.0.3.1 notes say the relevant memory crash path and incorrect patterns were fixed. Old launch-week warnings should therefore be read with their date rather than repeated as permanent advice.

Older controller tutorials can also be out of date because applying the fix reset bindings. Follow the live control menu after 1.0.3.1.

The cited 1.0.3.1 page does not claim completion of the separate Hotfix #2 list, including Normal-mode respawn changes, higher sensitivity limits, missing PS5 textures, achievement work, and additional menu-navigation fixes.
